Skin Tight Outta Sight and The Toronto Burlesque Festival has some groundbreaking news. For our opening night on Wednesday, July 21, not only do we have an international edition of NAKED GIRLS READING (with creator, Michelle L'amour, Jo "Boobs" Weldon, Lady Monster, Peekaboo Pointe and Tanya Cheex) but we also have an international film premiere!

The Toronto Burlesque Festival and StripCHEEZ are thrilled to announce the international premiere screening of Gary Beeber's "Dirty Martini and The New Burlesque." This film captures the magic of the New York Burlesque scene. Following the film, we will have a NYC Headliner's Showcase, featuring Tigger!, Peekaboo Pointe, Julie Atlas Muz, Jo "Boobs" Weldon and Dirty Martini herself, and also a Q&A. All Wednesday events are at The Gladstone Hotel.

Premiering the movie also means that The Toronto Burlesque Festival has yet another fabulous Headliner! Dirty Martini will be performing on Saturday July 24 night as part of our Burlesque Ball, and then she will be closing the Festival at our Sunday Space Diner (July 25)!

We can hardly wait for this year's Fest! Our line-up is unprecedented, starring Canada's own ROXI DLITE, Reigning Queen of Burlesque and SATAN'S ANGEL in her first appearance in Toronto since the 1970s when she performed at our last burlesque house, The Victory Theatre. Many of you remember Roxi from her last two Toronto Burlesque Festivals and know she is a stellar performer. Satan's Angel is a bona fide Rock Star of Burlesque - do not miss the opportunity to see her performance on Friday, July 23 and also learn the striptease secrets of this fabulous Legend at our Burlesque University!

The Toronto Burlesque Festival is also excited to host such neo-burlesque legends-in-the making as Miss Astrid, Michelle L'amour, Tigger!, Julie Atlas Muz, Jo "Boobs" Weldon, Dr. Lucky, Miss Indigo Blue, Gravity Plays Favorites, Peekaboo Pointe, Foxy Tann and Amber Ray. We have performers from as far afield as Japan (Cherry Typhoon, Winner (Tie) of Best Troupe, Miss Exotic World 2006), and New Zealand (The Magenta Diamond - you may not have heard of her now but we predict she is one to watch!). We have also made sure we feature the best of Canadian burlesque, including Diamond Minx (Vancouver), Miss C (Halifax), and Scarlett James (Montreal). Local legends include Les Coquettes, The Harlettes, Mysterion the Mind Reader, Boylesque TO, Coco Framboise and of course, Canada's burlesque pioneers, Skin Tight Outta Sight. Our aim this year is to network between the generations and we also are thrilled to showcase many Rising Stars of Burlesque from both the local and international stage!
